What makes a man...beat another man with a metal pipe?

It was reported today that the prosecution has charged Anthony Peters with the attack of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. For anyone who missed this story, apparently Peters was "provoked" to attack when Mayor Barrett attempted to call 911 to aid an elderly woman Peters was harassing. Let me state that again. Helping an elderly woman, by simply calling 911, was sufficient for Peters to savagely attack Mayor Barett with a metal pipe. While the familiar adage "no good deed goes unpunished" seems to still reign true, let us hope that the unexcusable actions by Peters will not deter future good samaritans.
